Sheriff's Office Makes Huge Donation Read the article in the Maryland Independent about their Thanksgiving contribution to Children's Aid.
2007 Auction a Huge Success! Our annual auction raised $17,000 for Children's Aid's endeavors, an increase over 2006. Thanks to all who participated, including our sponsors and supporters!
Donation of School Supplies The First Baptist Church of St. Charles Mission Friends group donated bags and bags of school supplies to the Children's Aid Society. Thanks!
New Business Chooses Children's Aid as Recipient The newly opened Martini's Lounge collected nearly $2000 in donations during their grand opening. Martini's Lounge chose Children's Aid Society as the non-profit to receive these donations. Children's Aid extends many thanks to Martini's for choosing us and helping us help the children. Martini's Lounge is located in White Plains, Maryland.
Donation from the Blue Knights The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Maryland Chapter IV made a generous donation of $3000 to CCCAS for our Emergency Assistance Program. 100% of this money is used to assist Children's Aid Society clients with emergency needs.
Collected Items for Children's Aid Robert Cusack Jr. and Ryan Cusack, both of Cub Scout Pack 417, collected hundreds of items for the Children's Aid Society. These items included underwear, t-shirts, socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, brushes, combs, shaving kits, dental floss, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant. The boys collected these "basic need" items after meeting with the Chairman of Children's Aid and understood that these items are some of the many items that the families and children the agency serves need. The boys are planning to collect twice as many items for the 2007 fall season.
Sigma Gamma Rho Toy Drive Success The Waldorf Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. did a toy drive in December, 2006 for the Charles County Children's Aid Society's part of the Charles County Christmas Connection program for the Children. This Christmas program assisted 3000 Charles county children with toys, food, clothes, books and more this Christmas.
We're on TV! In December, 2006, CCCAS was mentioned in a segment on the "Today" show. Thanks, Jeff Yeager! 2006 Toy Run A Great Success The 9th annual Darrell K Posey Toy Run was a true success. This annual toy run, in memory of Darrell K Posey is sponsored by the 10th District Volunteer Fire Department in Pisgah and raised thousands of dollars for the Darrell K Posey memorial scholarship fund and collected hundreds of new toys for the Charles County Christmas Connection program.
